So we ventured our way out to Bilpin which is located in the Blue Mountains, about 2.5 hours away from Sydney. It’s a lovely area with several orchards around- perfect for fruit picking season
Due to friends past experiences, we were taken to Bilpin Springs Orchard.
Many fruits to pick- peaches, apples, blueberries, Nashi pears and plums.
The nashi pears are not as big as the ones you see at Coles / Woolies, but after taste testing these, it’s full of juice! Just as good as the ones from the local supermarkets.
It wasn’t as hot as other Summer days we’ve experienced in Sydney but there’s very limited shelter here which makes it a bit warmer!
The picking costs $4 per kilogram at the time of the visit. Blueberries are priced differently due to its popularity.
