Clifton Gardens

I’ve done the Bondi to Bronte several times, so decided to try a different walk this time. We ventured out with the aims of doing a bit of the Chowder Bay to Balmoral Beach walk. I found that the best way was to park at Clifton Garden park, explore for a bit and then do the walk.

There’s a parking space for park visitors but it might get a bit busy during the day so seek out nearby streets for more spaces.

Not only do you have a park and a huge kids’s playground, you also have a pier to sit and relax or even do some fishing!

If you’re planning to do the walk, it should be on the right of the beach when you look out straight into the ocean. Here, you’ll see a sign post (picture above).

We only did a bit of a walk but the view on your left while walking is amazing. But don’t do the walk too late in the afternoon as it’ll get dark and be extremely difficult to navigate. Unfortunately, we went later in the afternoon so decided to just go for a 10 minute walk and back. Hopefully we’ll get to explore more of this place soon and also do the full walk!

You can also sit down on this bench and enjoy the view, and even the sunset on a beautiful day.
