Our next photo stop was at The Chasm walkway, which is halfway between the Homer Tunnel and Milford Sound.
Here, you can take a short 1.5km walk through the forest with a start at the cross footbridges over the Cleddau River.
I was quite surprised of the thrill because as you’re standing on the bridge, you can see the huge splash of water coming down from the powerful waterfalls nearby. The rocks around here are sculpted in many different interesting shapes due to being formed over the years by the swirl of the waters from nearby waterfalls.
Definitely worth a 15-20 minute stop over, especially when the route is not too long and it’s such a beautiful scenery as well.
