One of the short road trips we did whilst in Queenstown was our drive from Queenstown to Lake Wanaka. Our destination point was Wanaka Recreational Reserve which is approximately 69 kms away.
Whilst on our drive, we encountered the many spots to enjoy top view of Queenstown.
On the way back from Lake Wanaka, we stopped by a few more spots. It is easier to stop at these spots only on the way back because it was on the left side. Unfortunately, as we were heading back to Queenstown, it started to get very cold and windy and started to sprinkle so we were only able to spend a bit of time up on the hill and then had to head back to the car.
All you really see is the mountains, but from afar, you could spot a bit of Lake Wakatipu.
