This was all just a coincidence or else we would’ve never discovered this place. But honestly, a lot of the places we went to were very coincidental. We always happened to see the sign and would divert immediately.
So after we finished our onsen hot spring session, we decided to drive further down Arthurs Point Road where we then came across a sign which said Coronet Peak, right before the turn. For this reason, we diverted our plans and turned left onto the steep Skippers Rd and started our journey to Coronet Peak without any idea of where we were going and what we were going to see at the peak.
Turns out that two of the most popular locations to go skiing is at Coronet Peak and the Remarkables. At the Coronet Peak, the view is beautiful.
This was also where you would best see those people jump off to paraglide with GForce as well.
Definitely a good spot to capture the view of Queenstown from above, although you won’t be able to see much of Lake Wakatipu due to the mountains.
